For the new school year 2009-2010, WSCC Parent Duty
is operated by Parent Association (PA) and all families registered at
WSCC Sunday school should participate.

There are two levels of parent duty: school wide level
and class level. School-wide duty has two sessions, 9:15am-11:10am and 10:50-12:30pm.
Class level is scheduled according to time for each class.
Parent duty
at School level
Members for Parents-on-school-duty come from each
class (all class including 1st and 2nd session, one
parent per class). They will not involve any parent duty at class level. Two
parents will be scheduled each week by the Parent Teacher Association.
First
session of school level duties (9:15-11:10am)
(a)Parents-on-duty should arrive school before
9:15am
(b)Setup tables in Cafeteria
(c)Direct the traffic in the circle and make
sure no parking in restricted area.
(d)Find the student ID boxes in the storage
area and bring them to the front desk for the parents (duty at class level) to pass
the student ID to the students (9:15am)
(e)Put security cones to three restricted
area in the building (see the map below labeled with red spots) (i) down stairs
(left side of the school) (ii) fore end class rooms (left side of the school).
(iii) stage in the cafeteria
(f)Ring
the bell when class starts and ends ( 9:30, 11:00,)
(g)To be Librarian for checking out and
returning books next to registration desk.
(h)Solve parent duty issues and report to
members of parent teacher association.
Second session of school
level duties –: (10:50-12:30pm)
(a)Parents
should arrive school before 10:50am
(b)Get
the student ID boxes on the front desk for the parents (duty at class level) to
pass the student ID to the students (11:00am) and collect them when class is
over (at 12:00pm)
(c)Collect
security cones from three restricted area in the building at the end of class. (12:10pm)
(see the map above)
(d)Ring
the bell when class starts and finish(11:10, 12:00)
(e)Put
the tables back to their original place(12:10pm)
(f)To be
Librarian for checking out and returning books next to registration desk.
(g)Solve parent duty issues and report to
members of parent teacher association.
Parent duty
at class level
For the parent duty at class level, two parents will
perform the parent duty in each class if the class has more than 8 students and
one parent to perform duty if the class has 8 students or less. This is valid
for both classes at the first session (9:30-11:00) and the second session (11:00-12:00).Each class should have a parent leader to
schedule parent duty at class level and to be in charge of the parent duty
within the class.

Class
level duties:
(a)Parents-on-duty
and teacher should be in school 5-10 minutes earlier before class starts. No
student can be in class room without parent or teacher in the class room.
Parent or teacher should remember how the class room looks like and put
everything back to it was when class is over.
(b)If two
parents on duty, one parent should be in Cafeteria to find the student ID box
on front desk and pass to students and another one should be in class room to
supervise the students. When all the
students get their IDs, the parent who is in cafeteria should return to home
room. When 10 minutes passed after the class starts, the parent should return
the rest of the student IDs (if any) to the front desk and go back to home
room.
(c)If
one parent-on-duty in that class, the parent should be in cafeteria to find the
student ID box from front desk, pass to students and ask the student wait for
the teacher to guide them to their classroom.When all the students get their IDs, the parent should return to home
room. When 10 minutes pass after the class starts, the parent should return the
rest of the student IDs (if any) to the front desk and go back to home room.
(d)Work
with teacher to make sure class room resume to its original arrangement
(e)Bring
all the students back to the cafeteria, collect and put the student IDs back to
the original bags after class and return the bag of student ID to the front
desk. The students either go to their parents or next class’
teacher/parent-on-duty.
(f) Work with teacher to supervise the students in
class for any activity.
